The plants in this garden are low in height through most of the year. Spring will bring lots of action to the garden while soil temps continue to rise. Hairy Beardtongue, Lyreleaf Sage, and Pussytoes will all bloom around the same period introducing light purples, soft blues, and white blooms rising 1.5 - 2ft in height. As the flowers fade, the warm season grasses will have emerged, adding motion and texture to the scene. The deep roots of this stand will aid the plants during the hot and stressful times of Summer, carrying them to a stunning show of seed head inflorescence come Autumn. The dormant months carry a special show of critters taking refuge in the habitat of the grasses while low sun lit angles light up the culms in golden radiance.
